Saddleworth Winter I

Saddleworth is a group of villages and moorland in the North West of England. Historically it lies in the West Riding of Yorkshire. Whilst still in that county geographically, it is now administered by a Lancashire Town.

I have loved the landscape of Saddleworth since moving here in 1970. From the majestic but desolate moorlands to the cluster of villages and hamlets and the green pastures, I can't hink of a better place to come home to. I love the landscape in winter...its colours and mood...especially in that golden hour before sunset.
